Second Day Study for Students in ENGR 1201
Learning at a distance has come a long way since the
traditional correspondence courses used snail mail to carry lessons and class work
between professor and student. Now with the Internet and email, the same
communication is blazingly fast! By signing up for this course, you have
elected to use distance education to complete the assignments of ENGR 1201. You will use
a combination of teleconference and WebCT to take the course. WebCT is a
Internet based software application that is specifically deigned to deliver
courseware on the World Wide Web. The first step is to self-register on
WebCT. To do this, follow the steps below. You may want to print
this page to use as a guide.
Getting started with WebCT:
Follow these steps to register on WebCT:
- Click on http://70.241.209.12/webct/public/home.pl.
- Save the WebCT
address in your "Favorites".
- Click on "Log in to
MyWebCT".
- Enter your SWTJC Portal ID for the "WebCT
ID:" and your birth date (MMDDYY)
for "Password:".
Click on "Log In".

student ID and birth date to me at dwhipple@swtjc.cc.tx.us
so that I check on your WebCT registration.

to keep track of
important dates.

submit
assignments.
