| As a college student, you are exploring
the lower division courses in your major. If you are a math,
science, or engineering major, you've probably encountered a few courses
that will challenge your abilities. That's not unexpected, the
transition from high school to college is often a bit difficult and
rocky. But, coming to SWTJC is still a good first step. The
faculty and staff are experienced at helping students make the
transition. So don't get discouraged; get help instead. Talk
to your instructors and counselors. They can give you direction
and smooth the road a bit. And when you get that GPA up to 3.0,
apply for the CSEMS scholarship. The extra money will allow you to
focus on your studies and do even better!
